Well time to talk about the half revealed Playstation 4! (Felt like blogging it.)
*Note before you read* - Just to let ya’ll know right off the bat, I used to be one of those fan boys that just tell everyone that xbox was better than all other consoles, I’ve changed my views now in the past year. Alright time to get to the main chat.
Now then, I did watch the live conference of the Playstation 4. I Watched all those Tech demos, etc. But let me tell you this, I was never a fan of the Playstation console. What brought me to watch it, was that they were telling us about how the developers can now use their full potential. What I mean is that, the PS4 will not downsize their project like previous consoles. It’s pretty neat that they actually asked developers what they needed. With that said, it really is refreshing to see something new, and collaborative between two or more major groups for this console.
I feel like the gaming industry just needs a nice little reboot, no more of this ON-DISC DLC you have to pay for to unlock, we want full games like our pioneer gen. The feeling of the adventure, and makes you want more, challenging, etc. Not repetitive objectives, pushing buttons to open doors, etc. It’s really interesting to see what these companies come up with. I guess that what brought to watch the conference.
Now I know the the Wii U hasn’t sold well, but that’s because it’s really hard to find a fit for the tablet control. But at least Nintendo brought something sort of new since the majority of us have tablets/ipads/smartphones, I guess that’s why it hasn’t sold as well or the isn’t enough games for it yet to utilize the full tablet control.
Just keep an open mind on all 3 consoles, and just figure out which one you’ll have more fun with. I mean in the long run, we will have new consoles 10 years from now, and those will eventually be outdated. Just focus on what will offer more than just fancy graphics, or power. Think outside the box!
